Description
The 7th Brigade was raised at Enoggera Army Camp on 1 April 1915 for service at Gallipoli. Following the Gallipoli campaign the 7th Brigade was the first Australian brigade to land in France for service on the Western Front, with involvement in ever significant battle that Australians fought in from 1916 to 1918. The Brigade led the fight against the Japanese at Milne Bay and inflicted the first defeat on that army in World War II. Since then it has provided troops for battlegroups serving in Afghanistan, Set Timor, Iraq and the Solomon Islands.
